    Oct 29,  · Something I discovered from the recent PBS Country Music special was that Hank's Move it On Over just might be the very first Rock n Roll song. For the longest time, I thought it was Ike Turner's Rocket 88 (credited to Jackie Brenston). Bill Haley's Rock Around the Clock is just a pale imitation of the Hank Williams song.
